    Using hand-picked almonds from Puglia - the 'boot heel' of Italy - Adriatico is a decidedly different Amaretto, in that it uses much less sugar (in the form of cane syrup) than most other Amarettos, making it distinctly drier than one might expect. The use of sea salt from the Adriatic sea enhances that dry note, adding a saline element which works wonderfully with the almond notes throughout.

    On the nose it's quite deceptive, with a classic marzipan feel. But as soon as the liquid hits the tongue you know you're in for something new - the salt tang on the lips and the nuttier edge come through.

    It might be a shock for those used to much more sugary Amaretto liqueurs, but I love this - although I will admit this is probably better as a cocktail Amaretto than a straight sipper for most people. It works fantastically well with Cognac in a Godfather, and lifts an Espresso Martini to a whole new level. The bottle is absolutely beautiful too!

    Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by the carriers we use.

    Please note due to our opening times goods ordered on a Saturday may result in a delayed arrival. Goods ordered on a Sunday or Monday will be shipped from the store on the Tuesday immediately following - please bear this in mind if you have a deadline.

    48 Hour Delivery uses the Tracked 48 service from Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

    Next Day Delivery uses DHL services, a tracking number will also be supplied to allow you to follow its journey.

    Items are NOT insured as standard, please contact us if you would like to discuss additional insurance for premium products.

    All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or excessive amount of bubble wrap for additional protection.

    All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.

    RETURNS / EXCHANGES POLICY

    The Spirit Specialist offers EXCHANGES ONLY on unwanted items to an equal amount. Refunds will not be given, cash differences in favour of the purchaser in the case of an exchange will also not be provided.
