Arran 10yo & 2 Nosing Glass Gift Pack
The Arran (also known as Lochranza) Distillery was founded in 1994 - with production commencing the following year - by Harold Currie, who was previously Managing Director at Chivas. The most recent legal distillery on the island was called Lagg and closed in 1837 - although the owners of Arran opened a new 'Lagg' distillery in 2019.The house style of Arran is on the lighter side, with a fruity character of citrus and orchard fruits alongside vanilla. The 10yo is the epitome of this style, with fresh notes of peach, lemon peel, cut grass and sweet biscuits. It's not a 'big' whisky but delicate and refined - one to enjoy on a sunny day as opposed to warming up in front of a log fire - althgouh that would work too!
