Nearly three-quarters of rum consumed in the USA is produced in Puerto Rico and Don Q - derived from Don Quixote - is the number one selling rum in that country. Launched as a brand in 1932, the Serralles family who founded it had been involved in sugar cane growing since the mid-1830s and manufactured rum since 1865.
The brand features a 'Seleccion Exclusiva' program which includes the Double Cask Finish range - Puerto Rican rum aged for anything from 4 to 7 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before a time spent finishing in different cask types. On the Speakeasy bar you can try the Vermouth Cask, Port Cask and Zinfandel Cask releases - and now the newly released (as of July 2026) Pedro Ximenez Finish. The initial rum was aged for a minimum of 7 years before spending 11 months in Pedro Ximenez Sherry barrels. There's the soft, almost grassy note of the base rum before a wave of rich dark fruit rolls in, providing deep complexity and lengthening the finish considerably. The Zinfandel finish was probably my favourite of the Double Cask Finish portfolio - until this absolute beauty. It's a stunning sipper to be savoured! - Delivery & Returns

Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by Royal Mail. Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
