The Glenrinnes Distillery was founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Alasdair Locke and his stepson Alex Christou - although it's sited at the base of the Ben Rinnes mountain it's not to be confused with the long-standing Benrinnes Distillery owned by Diageo.
Focussing on organic ingredients, this Speyside gin features a wheat neutral spirit redistilled with 11 botanicals - juniper, coriander, orris root, fresh lemon peel, fresh lime peel (as opposed to dried), cardamom, cassia bark, chamomile, wood sorrel, sheep sorrel and cowberries sourced from the estate. Native to the UK, you would probably now a cowberry by it's other name - lingonberry, the one that makes up the tasty sauce that goes with meatballs in Ikea.
What works so well here is not just the citrussy notes - thanks to the fresh as opposed to dried peels - working with the tangy red note of the cowberry, but also a wonderfully silky mouthfeel that coats the mouth slightly, enriching the flavour profile and softening the 46% ABV. It's a superb Martini gin thanks to that weight of texture and soft zing, and it'll also work brilliantly in the likes of a Clover Club!

Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by Royal Mail. Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

All orders are sent on a Tracked service with Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
