Hotel Chocolat Espresso Martini Chocolate Cream Liqueur 15% 50cl
Hotel Chocolat cream liqueurs are made using a marriage of 70% dark chocolate that undergoes their 'Velvetiser' process along with a neutral grain vodka. The result is a beautifully silky chocolate liqueur which is neither too sugary sweet or bitter. The flavoured editions use the base liqueur to then move in different directions - in the case of the Espresso Martini version, there's a distinct dark coffee note which is still somewhat subtle and refined. To be honest, I was expecting more of a coffee influence but I'm kind of glad it doesn't go too overboard - this is a chocolate liqueur first and foremost, and the dark cocoa notes are very much at the front of the flavour profile.
