James Eadie Glentauchers 8yo Small Batch 46% 70cl
The James Eadie brewery was founded in 1854 - James also inherited a recipe for a blended Scotch whisky from his father and the business expanded into wines and spirits sales along with ownership of a considerable numbers of pubs. Eadie's great-great-grandson Rupert Patrick founded James Eadie Whiskies after several years in the trade, and the business has produced a number of independent bottlings.
Part of the 'Small Batch' range within the James Eadie portfolio, this Glentauchers 8yo is sourced from three first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels using spirit distilled on Valentine's Day 2014.
The Bourbon cask influence accentuates a distinctive apple and pear profile, with warm oak coming through on the mid-palate, adding a hint of white pepper. This is a warm yet at the same time refreshing whisky which will appeal to a wide range of tastes.
