Lindores The Casks Of Lindores II Bourbon Barrel Limited Edition 49.4% 70cl
The Casks of Lindores was a selection of three releases during 2022 which highlighted the individual cask types that made up the core flavour profile of the 'standard' Single Malt whisky.
During 2023 a second batch will be launched, evidencing the development of additional time spent in cask. Spirit made from barley grown solely in the Fife area exclusively is matured in Bourbon casks for just over four years, which provide soft, vanilla characters along with a creamy note that wasn't found in the younger edition. It's also bottled at a slightly higher ABV of 49.4% - not cask strength, but with enough bite to add complexity and interest to an already rich palate.
