Mozart Strawberry White Chocolate Cream Liqueur 50cl
Mozart Distillerie is based in Salzburg - which is also the birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus, hence the brand name.
Set up in the mid 1950s, Mozart don't just use his name, however. Their liqueurs are rested in stainless steel tanks that have loudspeakers attached to them, and from which Mozart's music is played for 24 hours - the technique is called 'sound-milling' and although it sounds absolutely bonkers there is actually scientific thought that liquids can actually store some kind information in this way.
Sugar beet distillate is used as a base spirit, with Belgian chocolate and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar provide rich, authentic flavours. Cream from Holland is also used - believe it or not Dutch cream is some of the best in the world.
The white chocolate element works perfectly with a fresh strawberry note, although I do suspect flavouring is used as opposed to fresh fruit. No matter though, as it's utterly delicious. The danger is the white chocolate could be too overbearing and turn the drink to sickly sweet, but it's balanced beautifully. It really reminds me of a McDonald's strawberry milkshake, and as such I really have to stop myself from drinking too much!
