Nemiroff is named after Nemyriv, a town roughly in the centre of Ukraine, 160 miles South of Kyiv. The distillery dates back to 1872 - Ukraine as a country is one of the largest producers of alcohol in the world. Production of spirits was nationalised by the Soviets in 1920 but following independence in 1991 the Nemiroff name was created a year later.

It's believed that some botanicals are also used but I sadly can't find any concrete information to confirm what these are. There's definitely something being used as there is a deliciously soft and fruity mouthfeel going on, with subtle hints of green apple and pear. There's a nice bite to the spirit but it still retains an almost floral note, making this an ideal versatile vodka to drink neat or use as a base for a crisp, clean cocktail.
