    Dating back to the 1880s, Peerless Bourbon was a victim of Prohibitoin and disappeared into obscurity until Corky and Carson Taylor refurbished a building in downtown Louisvilla, Kentucky, obtaining the original plant number to enable them to use the Peerless name, filling their first barrel of whiskey in March 2015.

    First released in June 2019, Peerless Small Batch Bourbon has an undisclosed mashbill, but t'interwebz research indicates it's between 65-81% corn 10-20% rye and 9-15% barley.

    Bottled at a healthy 54.95%, there is a clear kick of alcohol but pleasantly the heat is not too overpowering. It accentuates a tobacco smokiness which is supported by butterscotch and runny caramel notes, and there's a lovely thick mouthfeel to this which also tempers the heat, although spice is probably the prevalent flavour throughout. It's an excellent Bourbon for an Old Fashioned with a kick, but add just a drop of water and you've got an excellent sippin' whiskey!

    All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or excessive amount of bubble wrap for additional protection.

    All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.

    RETURNS / EXCHANGES POLICY

    The Spirit Specialist offers EXCHANGES ONLY on unwanted items to an equal amount. Refunds will not be given, cash differences in favour of the purchaser in the case of an exchange will also not be provided.
