Based in the Brecon Beacons, Penderyn launched in 2000 and started selling whisky in 2004 - the first whisky produced in Wales for over a century. And naturally, 'proper' whisky drinkers scoffed heartily as it wasn't from Scotland. But as more and more people tried it, a dawning realisation gathered that actually, this was pretty decent stuff...

Despite the name this release is 100% Sherry casks - maturation also takes place in ex-Bourbon barrels along with ex-Oloroso casks to add soft vanilla notes to fruitcake and soft spice.
