    Samples from six different casks were tasted by the Directors of the Club in mid-2021 in order to select the specific bottling. In the case of the chosen cask, new make spirit was filled into a 200L ex-Bourbon cask from Jim Beam on 31st July 2014, before being disgorged on 6th November 2018 to be transferred into another barrel that had been seasoned with Pedro Ximenez Sherry to add further rich and fruity flavours. It was disgorged in November 2021 for bottling (making it a 7 year old) and there were only 270 bottles in existence.

    The nose in incredibly intense with notes of concentrated dried fruits, old leather and darkmilk chocolate. The palate itself is dense and almost oily, with a rich sweetness - the dried fruits come through once more, along with a waxy hint of gentle lemon before a wave of soft cinnamon and nutmeg push through. At 57% ABV it still drinks so well without water - only a touch is needed to open up the profile even more, before it starts to break down it's symphony of flavour as more water is added. It's a stunning spirit, and truly appropriate to be bottled for such an esteemed brand

Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.

    PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

    All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
