No, it doesn't look like much from the outside. It looks cheap as hell, I get that. The fanciest it gets on the bottle is a cork, as opposed to a screw cap like it looks like it should have.
But what's IN the bottle, that's what matters. And what we have here is a 10yo Single Malt Whisky from an unnamed Islay distillery. Apparently 25% of the stock was finished in Sherry Octaves, which are very small casks that would produce a good amount of influence on the spirit within.
I love Islay whisky, and this has a great balance of smoke, heat and sweetness. The peat is peppery and not too medicinal, although there are hints within. A touch of sea salt and brine come through, along with salted caramel sweetness on the finish. Although the vast majority of unnamed Islay whisky releases tend to be Caol Ila basede on the sheer scale of their output, I'm not 100% convinced this is from there - the peppery notes are throwing me a bit. My gut instinct is saying Bowmore, but the more I try the more I get that swampy note of Laphroaig. Who knows. Who cares? Most importantly, it tastes absolutely bloody fantastic.

As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
