    Founded in 2014 by Robert Hicks and Helen Chalmers, The Highland Liquor Co is based in Ullapool, on the shores of Loch Broom, 60 miles Northwest of Inverness. Originally a fishing village of only seven dwellings, Seven Crofts is so named in homage of the origins of what is still a small coastal town of only 1500 people.

    Seven botanicals are used, including juniper, angelica root, coriander seeds, cubeb pepper, pink peppercorn, cardamom and fresh lemon peel. The Fisherman's Strength is bottled at what would also be dubbed 'Navy Strength' - 57% ABV - but having sampled this side-by-side with the 'standard' bottling at 43% the extra alcohol level really does bring out much more complexity. The citrus notes are pronounced and full to start, but there's a also a lovely weighty mouthfeel as it progresses to a softer spicy finish, with the cubeb pepper coming through in particular. It's a brilliant spirit for gin-forward cocktails, particularly if you're looking for a Martini with a bit more bite!

    Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by the carriers we use.

    Please note due to our opening times goods ordered on a Saturday may result in a delayed arrival. Goods ordered on a Sunday or Monday will be shipped from the store on the Tuesday immediately following - please bear this in mind if you have a deadline.

    48 Hour Delivery uses the Tracked 48 service from Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

    Next Day Delivery uses DHL services, a tracking number will also be supplied to allow you to follow its journey.

    Items are NOT insured as standard, please contact us if you would like to discuss additional insurance for premium products.

    All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or excessive amount of bubble wrap for additional protection.

    All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.

    RETURNS / EXCHANGES POLICY

    The Spirit Specialist offers EXCHANGES ONLY on unwanted items to an equal amount. Refunds will not be given, cash differences in favour of the purchaser in the case of an exchange will also not be provided.
