UrbanBar 1920s Nick & Nora glass 17cl
An elegant Nick & Nora glass featuring a quite beautiful 1920s design, the glass is so named after the husband-and-wife couple Nick and Nora Charles who were the main characters in the 1934 comedy-mystery classic 'The Thin Man'. The film had a marked cultural effect on cocktail making, as both Nick & Nora were almost permanently tipsy - hence the need for a smaller cocktail glass such as this to cut down their imbibing quantity. The film also features a memorable statement from Nick, who is stood at the bar: 'The important thing is the rhythm. Always have rhythm in your shaking. Now a Manhattan you shake to foxtrot time, a Bronx to two-step time, but a dry Martini you always shake to waltz time.'So now you can shake to waltz time in the comfort of your own home, and enjoy your cocktail in this beautiful receptacle!
